Veterans of Foreign Wars * Post 2346 * 190 Main Street * Saugus MA 01906 * (781) 233-2818

The S/Sgt Arthur F. DeFranzo Post 2346 VFW was chartered on January 6, 1932.

It has since been renamed in honor of Saugus' citizen, and W.W. II veteran, Arthur DeFranzo, who lost his life while trying to save other members of his battalion on D-Day 1944, while attacking German forces on the beaches of Normandy, France.

He was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his brave and valiant actions.
